Indoor spaces

Two indoor spaces work together or on their own. The Ballroom is 4,600 square feet, framed on three sides by picture windows, with twenty-two-foot coffered ceilings that hold the scale of a large reception without losing its warmth. Receptions, seated dinners, dancing, and full table layouts up to 250 guests all fit comfortably.

Storie Hall, named for the stories it holds, is 1,800 square feet, anchored by four Northern Pine trusses and an eighteen-foot west-facing window that pulls Hill Country sunsets into the room through the evening. Many couples use Storie Hall as their primary ceremony space, no matter the weather. When the ceremony moves outdoors, the room takes on cocktail hour, food service, or late-night dancing.

Outdoor spaces

Four outdoor spaces are engineered to work together as the day moves through them. The Courtyard sits at the entrance: 1,500 square feet built around an 850-square-foot evergreen lawn, flanked by patio trees and framed by hand-crafted iron-and-glass doors. It holds a cocktail bar, a sign-in table, a lounge setup, or an intimate ceremony equally well.

The Lawn is 2,400 square feet of outdoor ceremony space, anchored by a gas fireplace that becomes the backdrop most couples build their photos around. Stands of old-growth oaks frame the space; the Hill Country opens off the west side. After dark, tree uplights and the firelight turn the Lawn into the part of the night guests don’t want to leave.

The West Terrace and the Veranda are deep, covered outdoor stretches that keep guests comfortable through a light rain or strong sun. They work as a bar, a buffet, a lounge, or a late-night food stop, carrying the event along without ever forcing a scramble indoors.

Wedding party spaces

Two separate suites, one for each party, are built to the same standard. The Bridal Suite is 1,600 square feet, full of natural light, with an oversized beauty bar for hair and makeup, two private dressing rooms, a gas fireplace, a built-in closet with cubbies, and a full private bathroom with shower. A coded lock means the couple controls access all day. Brides and mothers of the bride often walk in and tear up a little; the team keeps tissues stocked.

The Cottage is a separate structure tucked away from the main building, with 1,500 square feet of open living, a dedicated dressing area, two full bathrooms with showers, and a full kitchen for catering drop-off. It was built to push back on the wedding-venue trope of treating the groom’s room as an afterthought. Most groomsmen who walk in start talking about setting up games or catching the morning’s game while they get ready. The room invites that.

Everything is designed for events that flow from one space to the next, and guest counts from 50 to 250 settle naturally into the right scale.

The Arlo sits at the gateway to the Texas Hill Country, on the southwestern edge of the city. The property crowns a hilltop, framed by old-growth oaks, with panoramic views from every primary room. The sunsets through Storie Hall’s west windows and across the Lawn live up to their reputation. The elevation brings a breeze, too, which is no small thing in a Texas summer.

How we work

The Arlo doesn’t plan or coordinate weddings; that’s what the couple’s planner is for. The venue’s job is to prepare the property, support the planner and the vendor team, and keep everything to standard. Every couple completes a required final walkthrough with the venue team to lock in the plan, so vendors arrive knowing exactly where to load in, where to set up, and how the day is meant to flow. The venue does the hard work in the background, and the couple and their guests never have to see any of it.

Every booking includes exclusive use of the full property: one event per day, so the entire venue is yours. Rentals include 12 hours of event time, 300 cross-back chairs, all tables, the Ballroom, Storie Hall, the Bridal Suite, the Cottage, the Courtyard, the Lawn, the Veranda, and on-site venue staff for the day. Rental rates fall between $5,500 and $14,500, depending on the day of the week.

Does The Arlo have an indoor ceremony option?

Yes. Storie Hall is a dedicated 1,800-square-foot indoor ceremony space with four Northern Pine ceiling trusses and warm natural light, featuring large west-facing windows that frame Hill Country sunsets in the evening. Many couples choose Storie Hall for their ceremony site regardless of inclement weather. How far in advance should we book The Arlo?

Most couples book The Arlo 12 to 18 months in advance, especially for peak-season dates (spring and fall weekends). Off-peak dates and weekdays often have shorter lead times. Tours are the fastest way to confirm what’s available for a target window.

Does The Arlo work with our preferred vendors?

Florists, photographers, DJs, and bands are open choice. A few categories must come from the required vendor list, catering among them, and the team also keeps a recommended list of caterers and bartenders they work with closely. A professional wedding planner is required for every event; couples can choose one from the recommended list or have an outside planner pre-approved.
